Demarion's Journey

Hello My name is Demarion and thanks for visiting my blog. This is a way for my Mom to keep people up-to-date on my progress and take donations for my medical expenses. My family along with many other wonderful people raised the money to get me to China for stem cell treatment. It has been a long journey, but a new chapter in my life is just beginning. If you would like to donate to my future medical expenses just click on one of the donate buttons. Thank you for your support.

About Me

pittmanenc
Demarion Pittman was born a normal little boy. He was growing and progressing as he should. One day, once accident, one mistake changed his life on August 2, 2007. After attending a field trip with his daycare center, Demaron was forgotten in a van for several hours. This one act of neglect caused Demarion to suffer a heat stroke resulting in severe brain damage and many neurological disorders. Demarion was accepted to receive stem cell therapy in China. This treatment helps stroke patients, children with cerebral palsy, people who are blind because of optic nerve atrophy and many other illnesses that can’t currently be treated in the United States. Currently Demarion has been diagnosed as legally blind, epileptic, and permanently disabled due to the stroke he suffered. Currently Demarion has several surgies lined up this year to help get him the use of his hands and arms. His family hopes by having these procedures he will be able to do things for himself such as feed, dress and eventually write.
